A family owned, and operated business developed under the guidelines of Ross Chard (Chardy) – Chard Boring established 30+ years. Little Boring was established in 2015 after Ross retired.
Little Boring offers the ability to run power, water, gas and other services under existing pathways, driveways, under road boring and trees with minimal disturbance to the environment. Our services are cheaper than cutting and re-instating driveways, roads and paths whilst also keeping the overall appearance as it was – almost like we were never there.
We call ourselves the short-bore specialists as we only have the ability to bore over short distances from 0 to 15 metres, unlike directional drillers who have a minimum bore size of 20 metres. Our set-up involves using an excavator and borer attachment enabling us to bore in all sorts of terrain including rock and our largest bore diameter is 500mm perfect for water pipes.
Due to how we do things our set-up needs only a small space of entry, 4000mm x 450mm making nearly every bore accessible, these entry and exit holes are then back filled leaving minimal soil on site or in most cases it is easily spread out. We bore on a flat plane allowing PE pipe, rigid pipe and nbanks of conduit to be inserted through the bore over short distances. No water is used, making clean up quicker and easier.

Managing Director
Having worked in the civil construction industry for all his working career and the dream of always owning his own business Tyson used his twenty plus years of Machine Operation and Electrical Civil Supervisory experience to establish Little Boring in 2015. Tyson’s past roles ranged from general hire machine operation for civil works, house slabs, driveways and the like to working with a 10 strong crew laying conduit and cabling for the supply and installation of power in new and existing sites. It is this five years in the electrical contracting space that has enabled Tyson to better service his clients as he understands not only what the clients wants but what the governing bodies require.
Jacqui Little
Administration
A background spanning many years in Industrial Recruitment and Hotel Management, Jacqui’s role within Little Boring is purely an administration support role. We would be lost without her organising the behind the scenes day to day tasks.
Ryan Underwood
2IC
Ryan comes to Little Boring a trade qualified Mechanic, with a background in construction and sales. Ryan, who is also Jacqui’s cousin is your Sucker Trucker and an integral part of the Little Boring Family.
